Anime Zero Traits (October 2026)

Editorial contact: Raymond

Traits last verified:

All 18 Traits with their published roll rates and buff values, last verified on October 9, 2026. The three rarest rolls sit at 0.01% while the four most common cover about half the pool, so the target matters more than the budget.

How Trait rerolling works

  • Visit the Matilda NPC in the lobby and spend Trait Reroll tokens to roll a new passive Trait.
  • Each Trait has a fixed roll chance. The stronger the buff bundle, the rarer the roll.
  • Trait Reroll tokens come from stage clears, Weekly Quests, Achievements, Milestone rewards, Nightmare Story stages and code redemptions.
  • Update 1 added a Keep Traits list that sorts Traits by rarity, so you can protect a good roll before spending another token.

You hold 1 Trait at a time. The roll table below totals 100.01% because each published percentage is rounded to two decimals.

Every published roll rate in one place. Sort of note: the seven entries at 8% and above together account for 75.79% of all rolls, which is why an unbanked reroll usually lands on a common entry.

How to spend a reroll budget

Expected value is misleading here. At a 0.01% roll rate, 1,000 rerolls still leaves roughly a 9% chance of nothing at all, so the calculator is more useful than a raw average: it shows both the hit chance and the failure chance for the bank you actually have.

A practical order: keep Fortune if you farm, reroll toward Deadeye or Supernova if you fight bosses, and stop spending on anything under 1.83% unless you are deliberately rerolling for crit synergy with Overkill and Razor Focus. Bank rolls from codes first — the active list hands out hundreds of rerolls.

Common questions

FAQ

What is the rarest Trait in Anime Zero?

Deadeye and Supernova share the lowest published roll rate at 0.01% each. Deadeye gives +20% Damage, +5% Critical Chance and +50% Critical Damage; Supernova gives +24% Damage, +12% Cooldown Reduction, +20% Attack Speed and +3 Walk Speed.

How do you reroll Traits in Anime Zero?

Visit the Matilda NPC in the lobby and spend Trait Reroll tokens. Tokens come from stage clears, Weekly Quests, Achievements, Milestone rewards, Nightmare Story stages and code redemptions. Update 1 added a Keep Traits list so you can protect a good roll before spending another token.

Which Trait is best in Anime Zero?

Deadeye is the stronger pick for long modes and bosses because of its +50% Critical Damage. Supernova is better when you are farming, because its movement and attack speed clear content faster. Fortune is the best farming Trait overall, but it contributes no combat stats at all.

Do I need Overkill or Razor Focus?

They work as a pair. Overkill gives +40% Critical Damage and Razor Focus gives +13% Critical Chance. Overkill alone contributes little unless something else in the build already raises Critical Chance, and Sunglasses is the only accessory that does that.

How many Trait Rerolls does it take to get a Deadeye?

At a published 0.01% per roll, the expected number is 10,000 rerolls. Use the calculator to see the probability of getting one within a budget you actually have, plus the chance of spending the whole bank and getting nothing.

Is Fortune better than a damage Trait?

For farming, yes. Fortune gives +25% Coins, +20% Experience and +20% Drop Rate at a 12.63% roll rate, which makes it roughly 1,200 times more common than the 0.01% Traits. It adds no damage, so it is not a combat pick.
